Courses in King Danylo University

On November 26, as part of the advanced training of teaching staff at King Danylo University, an English language class was held for teachers of secondary schools in Ivano-Frankivsk region. The training was on the topic of “Gaming techniques in English acquisition”, which aims to reveal the use of the latest technologies in a game form for implementation in teaching.

The lecturers of the meeting, Oleksandr Lada and Alina Dushkevych, shared their teaching experience and also talked about the use of the CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) methodology in classes, which allows teachers to use effective tools for working with students of different levels of preparation. 

26 листопада у рамках підвищення кваліфікації педагогічних працівників на базі Університету Короля Данила відбулося заняття з англійської мови для вчителів загальноосвітніх навчальних закладів Івано-Франківської області. Навчання стосувалося теми «Gaming techniques in English acquisition», що має на меті розкрити використання новітніх технологій в ігровій формі для впровадження у навчанні.

Лектори зустрічі Олександр Лада (Alex Lada) й Аліна Душкевич  поділилися своїм досвідом у викладанні, а також розповіли про використання на заняттях методики CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults), яка дозволяє педагогам застосовувати ефективні інструменти для роботи з учнями різного рівня підготовки.

Olympіad ІI stage

A team of six participants, who took place in the second round of the English language Olympiad, won prizes. Ostrohliad Dzvenyslava, Ostrohliad Khrystyna, Kolotailo Solomiia, Pryhoda Oleksii, Bilichak Sofiia and Lukach Khrystyna are extraordinary young children!

Back to the topic. Why to hold Olympiads and competitions? To stimulate the formation of a child's individuality. To realize the need to compete. To develop cognitive activity. To show activity in different spheres of life. To develop talent... But this participation should be only because of  the child's desire and without the pressure of obligation. I am proud of myself that I do not force children to do this. I explain, motivate, encourage, and rejoice in their desire.

Команда з шести учасників  другого туру олімпіади з англійської мови виборола призові місця.  Острогляд Дзвенислава, Острогляд Христина, Колотайло Соломія, Пригода Олексій, Білічак Софія та Лукач Христина  - надзвичайні молодці!

До теми. Навіщо проводити олімпіади та конкурси? Щоб стимулювати формування індивідуальності дитини. Щоб реалізувати потребу змагатися. Щоб розвивати пізнавальну активність.  Щоб проявити активність у різних сферах життя. Щоб розвивати талант… Але ця участь має бути тільки від дитячого бажання і без натиску обов’язковості. Горджуся собою, що не примушую дітей до цього. Пояснюю, мотивую, заохочую, тішуся з їхнього бажання.

Multitest

Anti-School invited schoolchildren in grades 5–11 to take part in the All-Ukrainian Online Olympiad. The competition took place from November 14 to 18 and had the form of a multi-test covering four disciplines: mathematics, Ukrainian, English, and logic.

Several children from our lyceum also tried their hand at the test. 

Антишкола запрошувала школярів і школярок, які навчаються в 5–11-х класах прийняти участь у всеукраїнській онлайн-олімпіаді. Конкурс відбувався з 14 до 18 листопада й мав вигляд мультитесту, який охоплював чотири дисципліни: математику, українську мову, англійську мову та логіку.

Кілька дітей з нашого ліцею також спробували себе у тесті.

Ukrainian language quiz

Anyone who speaks our native language could take part in the online quiz ‘Ukrainian Language is Our Treasure’ dedicated to the Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language in the last decade of October. The tasks were not easy, but it was worth the effort!
