Grammar Quiz

Knowing grammar is very important to be an intelligent person in the everyday life. It helps people communicate efficiently. Learning grammar rules has a positive influence on the quality of children's writing and speaking. We practice grammar at every lesson.

To make the learning effectively and interesting there was organized an unusual lesson - a Grammar party for the pupils of the 3d forms. The teacher of English Viktoria Solomka prepared a lot of interesting things for the children. They played grammar games, sang songs, solved crosswords and had a good time together. Children were happy to learn difficult for them things with pleasure.

Знання граматики дуже важливе, щоб бути розумною людиною в повсякденному житті. Вона допомагає людям ефективно спілкуватися. Вивчення правил граматики робить позитивний вплив на якість дитячого писемного та усного мовлення. Ми практикуємо граматику на кожному уроці. 

Щоб зробити навчання ефективним і цікавим, був організований незвичний урок граматики для учнів 3-х класів. Учитель англійської мови Вікторія Соломка підготувала багато цікавого для дітей. Вони грали граматичні ігри, співали пісні, вирішували кросворди і добре провели час разом. Діти були щасливі пізнати складні для них речі з задоволенням.

Wiseheads

Within a week of English the students of the 8th grades participated in an intra language competition of the experts «Wiseheads». The teachers Iryna Mazur and Lidia Dmytryshyn provided the participants with the tasks where they had the opportunity to show their knowledge of grammar rules and vocabulary, comprehension and skills to work with the tests.

Each of the 20 tasks was offered with four choices, one of which was correct. The tasks were distributed by levels of complexity and were evaluated with 3, 4 or 5 points respectively.

Our winners are Paslavskyi Vladislav, Dyriv Alina, Boichuk Sofia. All of them were awarded with the certificates.

У рамках тижня англійської мови учні 8-х класів брали участь у внутрішкільному конкурсі знавців мови «Wiseheads» . Учителі Ірина Мазур та Лідія Дмитришин забезпечили учасників завданнями, де вони мали змогу показати свої знання граматичних правил та лексики, розуміння тексту та мати навики роботи з тестами. 

До кожного з 20 завдань було  запропоновано 4 варіанти відповідей, один з яких є правильним. Завдання розподілені за рівнями складності, які оцінювалися 3, 4 чи 5 балами відповідно.

Переможці конкурсу – Паславський Владислав, Дирів Аліна, Бойчук Софія. Усі переможці нагороджені сертифікатами.

We have taken part in different contests and now it is the high time to get our awards.

Greenwich 

55 students were the participants in Greenwich. The winners (Gold, Silver and Bronze Certificates) were 20 of them.

Olympus

Our school for several years already takes part in the Ukrainian Olympiads "Olympus" in English. Olympus includes multilevel tasks, allowing testing different aspects of students' abilities. It brings diversity in the studying; it is an interesting addition to the development program and an external source of assessing the level of knowledge of students.   

In March, our school held a spring session of the competition which was organized by our teacher Iryna Rospopa. We cheer for the results of the participants, hope to succeed and want to enrich them with new knowledge.

У нашій школі вже не перший рік проводиться Всеукраїнська предметна олімпіада «Олімпус» з англійської мови. Олімпіада містить різнорівневі завдання, завдяки чому можна перевірити різні аспекти умінь учнів. Вона вносить різноманітність в систему занять, є цікавим доповненням при освоєнні програми, а також зовнішнім джерелом оцінки рівня знань учнів.

У березні  в нашій школі відбулась весняна сесія олімпіади. Ми вболіваємо  за результати учасників, сподіваємось на успіх та бажаємо збагатитися новими знаннями.

Meeting of young teachers of English

In March a regular meeting of young teachers of English of our district took place in School of Bohorodchany №1. The classes dealt with the theory and methods of teaching foreign languages.

During the practical part young teachers had the opportunity to see the implementation of different technologies using the Internet. At the meeting a school teacher Iryna Mazur got acquainted the audience with her own virtual cabinet of an English teacher «Live and Learn». Young teachers were asked to continue to reflect the level of their professional achievement with the use of electronic resources.

У березні  у Богородчанськй ЗОШ І-ІІІ ст. №1 відбулося чергове засідання школи молодого вчителя з англійської мови нашого району . На занятті розглядалися питання теорії та методики викладання іноземної мови.

Під час проведення практичної частини молоді вчителі мали можливість побачити реалізацію різних технологій при використанні Інтернету. В рамках засідання учитель школи Ірина Мазур познайомила присутніх  з власним віртуальним кабінетом учителя англійської мови «Live and Learn».  Молодим вчителям було запропоновано продовжувати відображати рівень своїх професійних досягнень у з використанням електронних ресурсів.

Shevchenko`s week

All Ukrainians around the world celebrate Shevchenko`s days in March. We remind the pages of his life, recite his poems, read his book, watch films about the great man and do a lot of other things to commemorate the poet.

In our school there is a tradition to carry out the week dedicated to the well-known poet. Both in Ukrainian and in English we organize different events.

This year children had an opportunity to read Shevcnenko`s poems not only in English but in other languages. There was the display of the translations. The pupils of the 8th form did their best in such reading. Every pupil could show his knowing poems trying to find the Ukrainian equivalents of the English translations. The winners are the pupils of the 7th -A form Ptashnyk Sopia, Maksiom Maksym and Kurtiak Yulia. They were awarded with the Certificates.

Всі українці в усьому світі відзначають дні Шевченка в березні. Ми пригадуємо сторінки його життя, дукламуємо його вірші, читаємо його книгу, дивимося фільми про велику людину і робимо багато інших речей, щоб вшанувати пам'ять поета.

У нашій школі є традиція проводити тиждень, присвячений відомому поету. І українською, і англійською мовами ми організуємо різні заходи.

Цього року діти мали можливість читати вірші Шевченка не тільки англійською, а й іншими мовами. Була запропонована виставка перекладів віршів. Учні 8-го класу показали свої найкращі уміння в такому читанні. Кожен учень міг показати свої знання віршів,намагаючись знайти українські еквіваленти англійських перекладів. Переможцями стали учні 7-А класу Пташник Софія, Максьом Максим та Куртяк Юлія. Вони були нагороджені сертифікатами.
