The Impact of Social Media on Teenagers

Traditionally, for many years in a row, the Department of English Language and Literature of the National University "Ostroh Academy" has been holding the All-Ukrainian Essay Competition in English for students of secondary educational institutions. In the 2023-2024 academic year, the Essay Competition in English on the topic "The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Education" lasted from December 1, 2023 to March 29, 2024.

This year, 216 students from grades 9-11 took part in the essay competition, including representatives of our lyceum.

Вже традиційно багато років поспіль кафедра англійської мови та літератури Національного університету «Острозька академія» проводить Всеукраїнський конкурс есе англійською мовою для учнів загальноосвітніх навчальних закладів. У 2023-2024 навчальному році Конкурс есе англійською мовою на тему «The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Education» тривав з 1 грудня 2023 року до 29 березня 2024 року.

Цьогоріч у конкурсі есе взяло участь 216 учнів  9-11 класів, серед яких є представники і нашого ліцею.

Ukrainian Students about Authentic Ukraine

National Geographic Learning Publishing House invited teachers and students of grades 5-9 to participate in the Ukrainian Students About Authentic Ukraine competition of National Geographic Learning Publishing House in Ukraine and the Linguist company. The competition lasted from March 19 to April 11.

We were invited to talk in English about the ornaments and patterns of Ukraine, which are part of our cultural heritage, as well as to note their influence on the resilience and renewal of Ukrainians. The task was to create a collage of an ornament, graffiti, pattern or mural that tells about the culture and history of your region.

Our high school students made collages about the ornament and mural.

 

Видавництво National Geographic Learning запросило вчителів та учнів 5-9 класів взяти участь у конкурсі Ukrainian Students About Authentic Ukraine видавництва National Geographic Learning в Україні та компанії «Лінгвіст». Конкурс тривав з 19 березня до 11 квітня.

Нам запропоновано поговорити англійською мовою про орнаменти та візерунки України, які є частиною нашої культурної спадщини, а також відзначити їхній вплив на стійкість і відновлення українців та українок. Завданням було створити колаж орнамент, графіті, візерунок або мурал, який розповідає про культуру та історію вашого регіону.

Наші ліцеїсти виготовили колажі про орнамент та мурал.

Shevchenko

The All-Ukrainian Charitable Cultural and Scientific Foundation of Taras Shevchenko is holding an Internet flash mob "We are the descendants of the Kobzar". The goal of the project: popularization of Taras Shevchenko's work.

For participation in the event, all participants receive electronic certificates from the organizers of the flash mob and signed by Lyudmila Krasytska, president of the All-Ukrainian Charitable Cultural and Scientific Foundation of Taras Shevchenko, writer, great-great-granddaughter of Taras Grigorovich through her sister Kateryna.

The students of our lyceum took part in the flash mob for the second time. This year we collected translations of "The Testament" into English.

Всеукраїнський благодійний культурно-науковий фонд Т.Г.Шевченка проводить Інтернет - флешмоб "Ми нащадки Кобзаря". Мета проєкту: популяризація творчості Тараса Шевченка.

За участь у події всі учасники отримують електронні сертифікати від організаторів флешмобу та за підписом Людмили Красицької, президента Всеукраїнського благодійного культурно-наукового фонду Т.Шевченка, письменниці, праправнучки Тараса Григоровича по сестрі Катерині.

Школярі нашого ліцею вдруге взяли участь у флешмобі. Цього року ми зібрали переклади «Заповіту» англійською мовою.

English competition in King Danylo University

 On March 11, King Daniel University hosted an English language competition for gifted youth, in which 56 students from educational institutions from different regions participated.

“The English language competition from the Father Ivan Lutsky Foundation is an important tool for assessing students’ language competence. It provides an opportunity to test their knowledge and improve their skills in working with test tasks. Participation in such competitions helps applicants determine their own level of preparation, motivates them for further study and development. This is a great chance to test themselves and take a step towards new achievements!” – noted Alina Dushkevych, a lecturer at the Department of Foreign Philology and Business Communications at King Daniel University.

Tenth-graders of our lyceum Shcherbіak Marуna and Bukatiuk Stefaniіa also tried themselves in the competition.

11 березня в  Університеті Короля Данила відбувся конкурс для обдарованої молоді з англійської мови , у якому взяли участь 56 учнів закладів освіти з різних областей.

 «Конкурс з англійської мови від Фонду отця Івана Луцького – це важливий інструмент для оцінювання мовної компетентності студентів. Він дає можливість перевірити свої знання, удосконалити навички роботи з тестовими завданнями. Участь у таких конкурсах допомагає абітурієнтам визначити власний рівень підготовки, мотивує до подальшого навчання та розвитку. Це чудовий шанс випробувати себе та зробити крок до нових досягнень!» – зазначила викладачка кафедри іноземної філології та бізнес-комунікацій УКД Аліна Душкевич.

Десятикласниці нашого ліцею Щербяк Марина та Букатюк Стефанія також спробували себе у змаганні.
