Olympіad ІI stage

King Danylo University traditionally hosts participants of the II stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiads. On Thursday, January 8, the English Olympiad was held at l University, in which 130 students from secondary education institutions of the Ivano-Frankivsk region took part.

The main goal of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in English is to enhance the quality of professional training for future specialists and to identify gifted, high-achieving students. This year the students competed showing their skills and abilities in reading, listening and writing. 

Maryna Shcherbiak  (10th grade) coped very well with the tasks, winning the 3rd place . Congratulations!

Університет Короля Данила традиційно приймає учасників ІІ етапу Всеукраїнських учнівських олімпіад. У четвер, 8 січня, в УКД відбулася олімпіада з англійської мови, участь у якій взяли 130 учнів закладів загальної середньої освіти Івано-Франківської області.

Головною метою Всеукраїнської студентської олімпіади з англійської мови є підвищення якості професійної підготовки майбутніх спеціалістів та виявлення обдарованих, успішних студентів. Цього року учні змагалися, демонструючи свої навички та вміння з читання, аудіювання та письма.

Марина Щерб'як (10 клас) дуже добре впоралася із завданнями, посівши 3-тє місце. Вітаємо!

Ostroh Academy Internet Olympiad

The Department of English Language and Literature of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Linguistics of the National University "Ostroh Academy" invited students of grades 9-11 to participate in the All-Ukrainian Internet Olympiad in English.

The Olympiad was held on January 5, 2026 in the form of testing in three stages: Reading and English in Use (tasks for understanding texts on grammar), Listening Comprehension (listening testing);, Writing (written task). Each participant had to register in advance for participation. Our lyceum also had a participant in the competition this year.

Кафедра англійської мови та літератури Навчально-наукового інституту лінгвістики Національного університету «Острозька академія» запрошувала учнів 9-11 класів взяти участь у Всеукраїнській Інтернет-Олімпіаді з англійської мови. 

Олімпіада проводилася 5 січня 2026 року у формі тестування в три етапи: Reading and English in Use (завдання на розуміння текстів на граматику), Listening Comprehension (тестування аудіювання);, Writing (письмове завдання). Кожен учасник мав самостійно заздалегідь зареєструватися для участі. Наш ліцей цього року також мав учасника в конкурсі. 

Winter tales

Linguist Publishing House invited students of grades 3-4, 5-6, 7-9 and English teachers to take part in the “Winter Tales” competition to support the spirit of the Christmas and New Year holidays.

The task for grades 5-6 was: to write a thematic winter story. It can be completely different in genre - humorous, detective, investigative, or any other genre that you like. A mandatory condition is the use of one of the “code phrases”, which must be part of the plot.

The competition lasted until January 9. Our lyceum students also joined in creating stories.

Видавництво Лінгвіст запрошувало учнів 3-4, 5-6, 7-9 класів та вчителів англійської мови взяти участь у конкурсі  «Winter tales», щоб підтримати дух Різдвяних та новорічних свят.

Для 5-6 класів було завдання: написати тематичну зимову історію. Вона може бути  абсолютно різною за жанром - гумористична, детективна,  дослідницька, або ж будь-який інший жанр що вам до вподоби. Обов’язковою умовою є використання однієї з “кодових фраз”, яка має бути  частиною сюжету.

Конкурс тривав до 09 січня. Наші ліцеїсти також долучились до створення історій.
