Courses in King Danylo University

On November 26, King Daniel University hosted a training for English teachers as part of the teacher training program.

The master class “Gaming Techniques in English Acquisition” was conducted by Bozhana Gulyan, an assistant professor at the Department of Foreign Philology and Business Communications.

During the class, the speaker told teachers about the integration of games into the educational process, types of game techniques and their application. The teacher focused on the capabilities of the Kahoot, Wordwall, Quizlet, Baamboozle platforms, as well as on the proper preparation and balancing of game tools within the lesson.

“Games are not only about entertainment, but also about improving student motivation. It is important to note that an excessive number of games can distract from serious work, so they need to be carefully selected and planned according to the lesson. However, it is a very effective tool that brings teachers and students closer together and helps overcome the teacher–student barrier,” noted Bozhana Gulyan.

After completing the training, the participants received certificates of advanced training.

26 листопада в Університеті Короля Данила відбувся тренінг для вчителів англійської мови в межах програми підвищення кваліфікації педагогічних працівників.

Майстерклас «Gaming Techniques in English Acquisition» провела асистентка кафедри іноземної філології та бізнес-комунікацій Божана Гулян.

Під час заняття спікерка розповіла педагогам про інтеграцію ігор у навчальний процес, види ігрових технік та їхнє застосування. Викладачка зосередила увагу на можливостях платформ Kahoot, Wordwall, Quizlet, Baamboozle, а також на правильній підготовці та балансуванні ігрових інструментів у межах уроку.

«Ігри – це не лише про розваги, а й про покращення мотивації учнів. Важливо зважати на те, що надмірна кількість ігор може відволікати від серйозної роботи, тож їх потрібно ретельно добирати й планувати відповідно до уроку. Проте це дуже дієвий інструмент, який зближує вчителя та учнів і допомагає долати бар’єр teacher–student», - зазначила Божана Гулян.

Після завершення тренінгу учасники отримали сертифікати про підвищення кваліфікації.

Anti-School multi-test

On November 22, an event was held for students in grades 5-11 with a prize fund of 150,000 hryvnias - the All-Ukrainian Online Olympiad from Antishkola 2025.

The testing was conducted in three groups: grades 5-6, grades 7-9, grades 10-11. One multitest covered tasks in 4 subjects: English, Ukrainian, mathematics, logic. The test included blocks of questions from each subject, and the results were automatically recorded in the performance rating. Each group received a test adapted to their level of knowledge.

A 10th grade student, Taras Gavrylko, also tried his hand at completing the test tasks.

“We believe that intellectual competitions are the development of thinking, logic, and self-confidence,” they say in Antishkola. So the Olympiad was created to give each student the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and skills.

22 листопада відбулась подія для учнів 5 - 11 класів з призовим фондом 150 000 гривень - Всеукраїнська онлайн Олімпіада від Антишколи 2025. 

Тестування проводилося у трьох групах: 5-6 класи, 7-9 класи, 10-11 класи. Один мультитест охоплював завдання з 4 предметів: з англійської,  української,  математики,  логіки. У тесті були блоки питань з кожного предмету , а результати автоматично знімалися в рейтинг успішності. Кожна група отримала тест, адаптований до їхнього рівня знань.

Учень 10 класу Тарас Гаврилко також спробував свої сили, виконуючи завдання тесту.

 «Ми віримо, що інтелектуальні змагання — це розвиток мислення, логіки та впевненості у власних силах.», - кажуть в АнтиШколі. Тож  олімпіада створена для того, щоб дати можливість кожному учневі проявити свої знання та вміння.

Teacher's Day

Teacher's Day is a professional holiday for educators in Ukraine; which is celebrated annually on the first Sunday of October. The traditional way of celebrating is a festive concert. It’s an ideal option for students to reveal their talents, come up with creative numbers once again, and prepare performances.

An equally interesting way of celebrating is Self-Government Day. This is a change in the rules when teachers shift their responsibilities to high school students who can teach in younger grades.

День учителя, — професійне свято працівників освіти України; відзначається щорічно в першу неділю жовтня. Традиційний спосіб святкування — святковий концерт. Ідеальний варіант, аби учні могли розкрити свої таланти, зайвий раз вигадати креативні номери та підготувати виступи.

Не менш цікавий спосіб святкування — День самоврядування. Це зміна правил, коли вчителі перекладають свої обов’язки на старшокласників, які можуть проводити уроки в молодших класах. 

English Olympiad I

This year, everyone who wants can take part in the competitions at the district level, registering on their own. Without coercion and without quotas. Asking for advice or help from the teacher or not. Weighing all the pros and cons on their own.

This is how the first stage of the English Olympiad took place. I am proud that 5 of my participants won prizes - Shcherbiak Maryna (1st place), Kolotailo Solomiia (1st place), Ersteniuk Anastasia (2nd place), Ivankiv Vladyslav (3rd place) and Render Paskal (3rd place). And thanks to everyone who was a little short of points.

Цьогоріч усі бажаючі мають змогу взяти участь у змаганнях зразу районного рівня, самостійно зареєструвавшись. Без примусу та без квот. Спитавши поради чи допомоги у вчителя або й ні. Зваживши самостійно усі за й проти. 

Саме так проходив І етап олімпіади з англійської. Горда тим, що 5 моїх учасників здобули призові місця -  Щерб’як Марина (І місце), Колотайло Соломія (І місце), Ерстенюк Анастасія (ІІ місце), Іванків Владислав (ІІІ місце) та Рендер Паскаль (ІІІ місце). Та дякую всім, кому трішки не вистачило балів.
